Album: Strangely Oriental

Artist's Comments

Born in Korea towards the end of the Korean war, I was abandoned as a child. This was probably due to my being a mixed breed of half Korean and half soldier child. At the age of three I was one of the first Korean orphans to be adopted and brought to America. As a child growing up, I was the only oriental in my home town outside of the Chinese restaurant owner and his wife. Not knowing the other half of my blood, I have chosen to be an American Indian and am honored to be called Walking Bear. This should explain the title of my album "Strangely Oriental."
